Disney Believe - Inaugural Season Announced!

In a livestream on October 7, 2027, Disney Cruise Line revealed new details for the Disney Believe!

There will be a Moana-inspired Grand Hall that includes an atrium statue of Moana and her buddies Heihei and Pua.  The Grand Hall will be themed to the spirit of exploration with Polynesian finishes that evoke the South Pacific's cultural traditions. The carpet flooring is a blue design inspired by the ever changing colors of the ocean.  The guardrails around the atrium statue feature a floral pattern taken from Moana's dress. There will be a ceiling with constellations, and the centerpiece chandelier will be shaped after the ocean's movement, with the heart of Te Fiti hidden inside.

Just off the Grand Hall, a piano lounge called Sea Notes will take guests under the sea and will draw upon Ariel's grotto in "The Little Mermaid."  There will be a pearlescent piano set in the center of the space.

Skygazers, an adult-focused space, will be an observatory-themed pub for wish-makers and dreamers. Bookshelves hold astronomical instruments and maps, with hidden nods to Disney stories where characters wished upon the stars. Live sports broadcasts will screen here.

There will be a 2-story entertainment hub in a venue named Gazelle, inspired by the metropolis from the Zootopia films. By day it serves families of all ages, but at night, the venue shifts to adult-exclusive entertainment. We also learned that Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will appear in a family detective show!

We also learned that there will be a new Oceaneer Club entrance themed to "Monsters, Inc." We expect to learn more about the kids themed spaces in future announcements!

Snow White fans will get their own lounge called the Wishing Well.  There will be three distinct areas: 1) a bar themed to a gothic castle with stained glass art 2) a seating area desgined as the castle courtyard with red apples and white blossoms and 3) a performance area with hard-carved wood framing inspired by the Seven Dwarf's cottage.

"Encanto" will be appearing as an all new stage production in the Walt Disney Theatre.  Two more shows round out the theatre offerings: "Tangled: The Musical" (a hit from the Disney Magic) joins the Believe with a reimagined set design and special effects.  "Disney Seas the Adventure," an original stage show for the Wish class, features some of the most beloved Disney and Pixar characters.

In addition to the return of 1923 and Worlds of Marvel (these are on all of its sister Wish class ships), there will be a new Frozen themed dining experience called Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast that will be set In a Scandinavian Summerhaus courtyard.  Oaken's family will perform versions of "Frozen" songs throughout the meal, and we expect Anna and Kristoff to show up too. Likes its sister Wish class ships, the Believe will also have the adults-only Palo Steakhouse and Enchante, which are not included In the rotational dining but can be added for an extra fee. Guests onboard can also head up to the pool deck to enjoy Marceline Market and Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods.

There will be plenty of other venues for food and drink. For instance, the Haunted Mansion Parlor returns (it is also on the Disney Treasure and the Disney Destiny) and will be offering up all sorts of ghoulish drinks.  For those with a sweet tooth, Joyful Sweets returns with additions from "Inside Out 2."  Coffee lovers get two new hangouts: Big Hero Sips draws its inspiration from San Fransokyo in "Big Hero Six," and Cafe Kakamora takes its inspiration from the coconut creatures in "Moana." 

As a Wish-class ship, the Believe's 1,250 staterooms will be tastefully decorated loaded with Disney special touches. They will feature papercut-style artwork that evokes classic Disney stories and will draw on characters and stories like "The Lion King" "Moana," and "Coco." 

Concierge guests will find their staterooms and suites themed to "Peter Pan" and the whimsical world of Neverland.  Some special concierge ocean view rooms above the bridge will be themed to the playful spirit of Pixar's "Toy Story."  New royal suites include the Royal Reef Suites, themed after "The Little Mermaid," and the Royal Rose Suites, inspired by "Beauty and the Beast."  A two-story Tower Suite in the forward funnel will draw its inspiration from Magic Kingdom Park with the main space drawing inspiration from Main Street U.S.A while other rooms and spaces will be themed to different lands in the park, such as Adventureland and Frontierland.

We already knew from D23 announcements a few months ago that Tinker Bell will appear on the bow of the ship, while Woody and Buzz Lightyear will be featured on the stern.

Where is it Going and When Can I Book it?

Based out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, the Disney Believe will be setting sail on four and five night itineraries to the Western Caribbean and Bahamas.  Mark your calendars: December 18, 2027 will be its Maiden Voyage.  During its inaugural season, the Disney Believe will then be experiencing a selection of 4- and 5-night sailings to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas. Listed below are the itineraries and dates that Disney Cruise Line has released!

Booking Schedule

The full booking cadence appears below.  All bookings will begin at 8am EST based on Castaway Club status.  On October 19th, all pricing will appear online for general booking.

• Monday, October 12th : Pearl (completed 25+ sailings)

• Tuesday, October 13th: Platinum (completed 10+ sailings)

• Wednesday, October 14th: Gold (completed 5-9 sailings)

• Thursday, October 15th: Silver (completed 1-4 sailings)

• Monday, October 19th: General Booking begins for new cruisers

Of special note: There are some special booking policies for the Disney Believe Maiden Voyage only.  Guests looking to book the maiden voyage should take note of the following:

• Payment:  A non-refundable deposit of 10% must be paid by 11:59PM EST on the day of booking.  Final payment for suites and concierge-level staterooms is due 120 days prior to setting sail; final payment for all other stateroom types is due 90 days prior to setting sail.

• Travel Insurance: If adding the DCL Vacation Protection Plan, full payment for the plan must be made at the time of booking for all staterooms.  This plan cannot be added post booking.

• Payments and Cancellation fees: Final payment dates, cancellation fees and additional terms and conditions apply.  Review the Booking Terms and Conditions for more information.

• Restrictions: The primary Guest must remain on the reservation, or the booking will be cancelled, subject to the applicable cancellation fees.  Date changes are not permitted once a booking is made; Guests must cancel and rebook.  Booking cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or future cruise credits.

• Allowances: Existing reservations can be moved to the Maiden Voyage.
